Well, Blockbuster locations were turned into many things around the country.

Blockbuster wasn't a mistake, it was just outmoded by the BluRay v. HD-DVD battle. As a company dependent on buying in advance, they had no hope of chosing what disc to buy next during that dispute.

The grocery industry has gone through must-use-Paper/must-us-Plastic time and time again, offering choice during the transitional phase. Right now, most stores are giving me paper bags here in New England. Plastic will return sometime.

See, there's not enough paper, and not enough plastic, to make it work all on their own. Therefore, the cycle continues...

Well, this started at $99 for 2-day on most items like books and housewares, now food is delivered within 8 hours for $199.

We have an interesting control conundrum going on in the US. Parents don't want to give money to their kids, nor let them go without being tracked and limited... so they must pay for the extra lines.
